i am very anti-food-babe but one time when i use to think autism was a disease needing a cure, i would read her aticles and her one on the thin mints said they have white sugar containing something she calls 'glyphosate' claiming to be linked to autism and cancer.... don't believe her advice, eww

are there any other autism claims she has made?

Oh yes, the food babe. The person who thinks that nitrogen is toxic and that two things that share a common ingredient must be the exact same thing. I don't know about any autism claims she has made though. As far as many conspiracy theorists are concerned autism is an epidemic caused by vaccines, GMOs, and just about everything else, as far as I know very few of them care what it is beyond that.

on a video vani made talking at a nightly news channel about removing suposedly 'toxic' yellow dyes from a popular brand of macaroni..... she was in front of MILLIONS of people and talking to them as she was on the news channel....

"oh yeah, i think they (food dye yellow #5 and #6) are responsible for so many ailments our children are facing today... i think they're responsible for everything from ADHD and autism and obesity, just about everything, ya know..."

do not belive what she says, guys, she trying to make a buck for her trips to thailand and japan because she really IS a foodie... and i could'nt find the video where she makes that autism claim, but ....

There is this YouTuber who makes some great videos exposing the food babe for the scientifically illiterate fool that she is. His name is Miles Power and he makes a lot of other great anti-pseudoscience stuff. I might as well post this in case there is anyone who takes this person seriously.







He also has done videos debunking claims about various things causing autism. He mentions autism in a few of his videos due to how conspiracy theorists made up an "autism epidemic" and are trying to blame it on just about everything, but this is the only one mostly about autism related claims. I figured I would post it considering what forum I am on.

Who is this Food Babe person and what is she all about?

I have never heard of this Food Babe until now, but from what I've read here so far she sounds like someone I could really learn to hate.

Here is a quick summery summery:

Food babe: "Subway bread and yoga mats have a common ingredient!"
Her fans: "Oh crap, I don't want to be eating yoga mats!"
Food babe: "Sign this petition to get Subway to stop using this stuff!"
Smart people: "You know that the chemical you speak of is completely harmless in small doses and is broken down in the manufacturing process of the bread, right?"
Her fans: *don't care and sign the petition anyway*
Subway: "OK, fine. We can live without using that harmless chemical, just leave us alone."
Her fans: "They agreed, that must mean that the chemical is pretty bad and she was on to something!"
Food babe: "Did you know that beer and airplane deicing liquid have a common ingredient too?"
Smart people: *facepalm*

I went on Wiki to learn more about her, and she sounds completely wacko. Like saying microwaving your food causes the water molecules to form crystals in the food that cause you to have negative thoughts related to Satan and Hitler, or some insanity.

I can't believe a big brave food franchise like Subway caved in to her demands. But I've never liked Subway much anyway. Always telling us that if we eat out anywhere else we'll get morbidly obese and yet they have no problem selling potato chips and cookies.

No wonder Subway's bread tastes somewhat different nowadays. I still eat there occasionally though.

She's an idiot. I also can't stand the Science Babe, she's just as much of a twat.
