There's an Autism Awareness Day, though it seems to me like it's more of a 'voice your unawareness of Autism' Day.

But, I thought Autism Awareness Day is run not by Autistics but by the "Autism is a Disease" Mindset like Autism Speaks, or is that a different one?

The OP may be looking for "Autism Pride Day", which is held annually on June 18.

Since I'm proud of who I am, for me every day is autism pride day. The best part of this approach is that since nothing is given us, nothing can be taken away either.

I will certainly grant that this is your choice. But may I ask why you feel this way?

It's Autistic Pride Day, not Autism Pride Day. On a related note, Autism Awareness Month should be renamed as Autism Accep....ah, forget it.

actually, 2 april is the anual curebies awarnes day, this day was invented by auti$m $peaks and other cureby scambags,
the real AUTISTIC awareness is autism acceptance month and autistic pride day (though autistic pride day is no longer because AFF closed)
this events are celebrated and accepted by autistics,(every autistic pride day me and my aspie friends going to Haifa and celebrates)

If you know someone who is religious, mention "World Autism Sunday" to that person.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_Sunday

It is held on the second Sunday of every February annually.

Why not lay our own claim to the month of April??

As long as we're talking about Autism Awareness, let's put everything on the table and be aware of ALL the facts.

Time to start thinking.

Soon as the holidays are over, time to get to work.

It's not really "Pride Day" that we need, is it?? That really makes about as much sense as "Human Pride Day."

It's-- As long as we're talking about awareness, let's be aware of ALL the facts.
