I was often told that my thoughts and feelings were stupid, that I was odd or weird or my emotions were inappropriate. The people who loved me, loved my passion; those who didn’t called me aggressive. That taught me to be quiet and to try to suppress what I thought.

^ I can relate to this.

Thanks for posting the article.

Relate strongly to this. Wish it could be "stickied" here as a lot of what this woman says is stuff that some people even here on WP make dubious comments about, regarding some women's experience and pressures, and I try to explain, but feel unheard.

Yet the some aroud here keep on believing and believing and believing and believing that autism is over diagnosed. The autism experts who deal with this disagree.
