The group was founded in Finland in late 2015 by Mika Ranta, who has a long history as a white supremacist activist. Members of the group in Finland are allegedly responsible for the murder of a young anti-racist activist. This year the group has exploded, in Europe and internationally. It’s growth in the United States has been so rapid that the Anti Defamation League was moved to issue a special report on the group, which it described as an “anti-refugee vigilante group"

After Soldiers of Odin’s participation announcement was made, people began Tweeting, Facebook commenting and directly messaging both the main Autism Speaks and Canada Chapter social media accounts accounts. Many attempted to educate and encourage Autism Speaks to reconsider where they receive their support. Some comments were gentle, airing on the side of benign ignorance, “..Are you aware Soldiers of Odin is an anti-immigrant, white supremacist hate group…Please reconsider.”

Autism Speaks employed a consistent script of “Thank you for your post. We take your comment very seriously and [are] looking into it.” However, Emily Paige Ballou, a leader in the Autism Women’s Network, voiced some of the same questions most of us have. “Googled this in a couple of seconds. How long does it take you to look into it?” (emphasis added). The page was taken down this morning around 10 AM, but it was still up for almost 5 days. It is unclear if the Soldiers of Odin are still marching in the Speaks Walk or if the page has merely been taken down — Autism Speaks has not responded to any inquiries so far.

Soldiers of Odin will happily donate $100,000 to Austism Speaks if parents voluntarily sterilise their autistic kids to prevent pollution of the aryan race....

It's so obvious, why else would this scum care about autism...

The name of that organization pisses me off, they should call themselves The dishonorers of Odin.
