The flaw in Autism Activist argument

The Autism Activist argument is fundamentally flawed as it places the blame for Autism on the Neurotypical population. In essence, this principle is based on the premise that all negative symptoms or suffering are experienced due to the environmental and social structures and expectations of the NT world at large. This is well demonstrated by the very title of this forum.

This creates a distinctively one sided argument in which the needs of Neurotypical people are not considered or recognised and in the event of such enlightenment, they are misunderstood or disregarded. This does little to amour the NT to any cause. The subsequent expectation is therefore for the NT to supress their needs and carry the burden in order to accomodate apparent converse ASD ones. However as a stakeholder, it can be argued that NTs have little to no invested interest or dependency to motivate such a demand.

Again, the title of the forum demonstrates this well. Let's imagine that we were infact an alien in a new territory. It would not be an unjust expectation to experience good hospitality from the hosts and for them to accomodate your needs. However, it is also a fair expectation for the visitor to attempt to understand and comply with local culture, tradition and convention as a sign of respect.

In summary, any expectations on NTs to consider, respect and accomodate ASD needs must be met with a mutual respect in return.

However, as activists are usually on the spectrum is it no wonder this flaw currently exists?

That soo many people have become convinced the autism/neurodiversity diversity is all about
1. Elitism
2. Aspie Superiority/Autistics as the next step human evolution
3. It is all the NT's fault so they must give into every Autistic desire.

is beyond my capacity to understand and is quite frustrating.

I have been reading material by Autistics going on 5 years. Most do not think that way. All we want is compromise ie not having to give in to every NT whim., the recognition that being a small minority does make daily life a lot harder. That is not a matter of reality, not fault.

But yet the false view of Autism/ND activism persists and persists and grows and grows with seemingly no end in sight.
