I thought this was common knowledge? Hans Asperger created the concepts of "high functioning" and "low functioning" within the context of a Nazi extermination program. Autistic people were judged based on their usefulness as a member of Nazi society, and would either live or die based on that judgment.
So like.... whether a psychologist realizes it or not, telling a patient that they have Asperger Syndrome is basically telling them they would make a good Nazi.
which is really f****d up if you think about it!!
A a psychologist is telling you, you have a set of traits that meet a diagnostic criteria, not that you are into genocide and National Socialism.
If someone is a Nazi that is on them not the Aspergers label. For most of the time, the Aspergers label has been around Hans Asperger's Nazi complicity was not known.
Even if one is a "shiny" or elitist Aspie that usually means one is stuck up or does not want to associate with the "low functioning" that makes one an ableist, it does not necessarily make one a Nazi.
The Nazi insult is way way overused. It blurs the actual bad the person accused of being a Nazi is doing, and how uniquely evil the Nazis were.
