well im interested to see who most of you vote for as president. I know we have pretty much republicans and democrats and independent on this forum and (i'm a independent) i dont know about everyone else but based on the debates and issues that they have brought up here are my top picks i'm still debating on. (of course i dont vote till feb. what are your canditates that you are still thinking about.. here are the canditates of both parties that seem to be my type.

democrats:
1. obama
2.bill richardson

republicans:
macaine and ron paul.

i probably will vote for obama, cause he seems to actually listen to the people, and actually seem to be more motivated(and a better speaker) then the other canditates, i think the other politicians seem to be the boring type... obama had a hard life growing up, and i think someone who actually experienced what we experience right now, in the past, we need someone like that as president. I know everyone has a different opinion, But i think we should have someone who knows what we are going though in life as president.

Ron Paul, being a libertarian and supporting individual rights and the acceptance of all, would probably have a strong following amongst aspies. I certainly consider myself a member of the Ron Paul revolution.

No matter who wins either nomination, I'm voting for Dennis Kucinich.

I'm also supporting Ron Paul, since I'm registered as a Republican. Ron paul will defund the the federal bureaucracy, including public funds for autism research. So the "Combating Autism Act", which Hillary Clinto co-sponsored, would be rendered null and void.

This thread really needs to be on PPR. Why is it here?

NICE!!

Obama said this about autism:
"We must build a world free of unnecessary barriers, stereotypes, and discrimination .... policies must be developed, attitudes must be shaped, and buildings and organizations must be designed to ensure that everyone has a chance to get the education they need and live independently as full citizens in their communities."

I going to vote for Fred Thompson.

He old fashion but his policys, opinions, and standard is right where our country should be at.

Eventually, older remains the best over new opinion or policy that can be flimsy, collapse, or not follow.

For the SECURITY! For the UNITY! For the PROSPERITY!

as an inhabitant of NC, we have, (to coin a phrase) 'an echo, not a choice'..;)

Our primary is so late that Hillary will be choosing curtains by the time we get to vote...;)

I am one of those crazy independents. I'll be voting for Kucinich on Feb. 5th.

But pertaining to the whole Obama/Clinton stuff in Iowa and NH, I'd much rather have Obama than Clinton. If he gets the nom, I'll vote for him. If not, Ron Paul. If none of the three--I'll go with Nader again....

But seriously--I put my money on Kucinich. I figure if I want him to win, I have to invest in the campaign.

im from indonesia and if i was an american citizen, i would vote for obama. he's lived in indonesia before so he's experienced living among muslims (even if it's moderate muslims). he's the one who understands islam the most out of all the candidates and i believe he will make the relationship between islam and the west better.

Democrat: Obama

Republican: McCain

Anything so that Huckabee, Clinton, Giuliani are OUT!

I'm a Democrat but will vote outside the party if I have to. I'm most interested in labor issues and McCain speaks to me there. He also is a Vet and I would trust a Vet with Foreign policy than a Non-Vet. I voted for President Clinton with the ideals that he would be more "peaceful" and look where that took us. And Dubya was even worse. I'm afraid we set a poor precedent and we need to get more sensible people back in the Administration.

Obama has promised to fully fund IDEA which is what I want to support education. That's what he has to do with Autism.

As a resident of Oregon, the state's primary is in May,
but there is a possibility that it all may change in the 2012 elections.

Here's how.

The entire country will be divided up into four regions.
The first region will have primaries in March, then the next region in April, and so on.
In the following presidential elections, the next region will be first to vote.

Exceptions are Iowa, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands,
since the first two have caucuses & primaries in January.

Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands
will hold their own caucuses & primaries as they see fit
since they are not part of the mainland.
