Just did some nifty advocacy during my lunch hour. I work in a University library.

Walking past a study room, I noticed a group was gluing a puzzle piece border on a poster display board. "Uh-oh," I thought, "they must be doing some sort of horrendous mis-presentation of autism."

I ate lunch quickly and headed back to their study room. Gulp. I introduced myself and asked what they were preparing. It turns out they were trying to present a case for a nursing class on the MMR and Autism. There being NO link, that is. Phew.

Did they know anyone with autism? Nope. I disclosed my neuro-status. Ahhh....then they asked if I knew of some internet sources. Specifically Youtube. No problem. I pointed them towards the Posautive group and Christschool. That outta set them out just nicely.

I'm still all shaky from the introducing-myself-to-strangers rush, so please forgive my poor writing. :drunken:
