Pennsylvania; "State Board of Education has never included a student. That's likely to change soon.

More than a year after deciding to study whether to expand its membership to students, the board is preparing to move ahead with the idea.

A student representation committee is expected to recommend in May that the board's bylaws be amended so two students can participate, said board member Francis Michelini, who heads the committee. The changes would allow for a high-school student on the board's council of basic education and a college student on its council of higher education."
