As some of you know, that while I buy 100% into the concept that ASD is genetic/inherited, I do consider it to be a strong possibility that the negative side effects have increased and become more obvious/more impairing as a result of environmental factors. I would say my father had a brain wired like my son's, but it never meant he couldn't write and spell while, for my son, it does.

And one thing I've worried about is fire retardant, having been the "good" mom I was, buying only "approved" (read treated) sleepwear (rules have since changed), which my son promptly used as a teething toy.

So, I found the article below interesting, and think they actually need to dig deeper and take it much more seriously.

I've always believed that people with aspergers or autism are sensitive to the pollutants in the air or toxic chemicals in my food or water..

I've often wonder how a person could believe in something without examining any direct and empirical evidence, or without enturusting their opinions to a group of experts in the relevant fields.

But then, I've also wondered why people take up smoking, too.

But what if there isn't any? Someone has to be the first person to say, "hey, shouldn't we worry about this? Or at least do some studies?"
