Whats with their new forum? Looks like some kind of social network, in fact it says it IS a social network LOL.

Doubted it would be long before they jumped on the latest media bandwagon.

We should go on pretending to be 'parents' then on this site arrange to make a mass protest at the same time on their site! If enough of us did it at the same time, their site would crash!

I'm not mean, honest!

I have never beleived Autism can be caused by vaccines, and thanks to AS kids are dying from perfectly preventable illnesses. This is what gets me the most about them, they bang on about being a "good" organisation but more worrying than the whole "cure" nonsence is the brainwashing of parents not to protect their kids from diseases which have been pretty much wiped out.
Autism has been around since the crack of dawn, vaccines are a pretty recent discovery so I really don't beleive it.

I think people following them have a right to both sides of the coin before they make their minds up because it is AS that agreed with a woman who said she felt like driving her Autistic daugher and herself off a cliff.

that isnt fair as it would be messing with the minds of the innocent users there-they wont trust any newbies [more than usual] because of any WPers who do this,it only makes it harder for innocent WPers on there as well, because a lot of AS already hate this site and users as it is.

miserylovescompany,
is AutismSpeaksSpace the real name?
if it is,the initials of the name suit the site very well.
cant be bothered having a look, the first forum was crap and full of whinging.

I assume that all the mods will be neurotypical then, reflecting the vast irony of the organisations name.

No, don't.

There are some really great people (parents and autistics alike). Leave them alone, please.

Seconded.

I posted on Autism Speaks for a while to put the anti-cure viewpoint across, and it's so obvious that most of the people on there are OK. They don't hate autistics and want to cure their kids because they think that's what is genuinely best for them. Half of them don't even support Aut Speaks!

Causing trouble for autism speaks is OK- but don't do it in a way that will also cause trouble for people who are more or less innocent.

Let's hope the maintainers of MySpace
and Facebook WILL file a cease-and-desist letter
to Autism Speaks, so that a name change can happen.

If you take the initials of AutismSpeaksSpace,
it spells A-S-S, like in a-hole,
which Autism Speaks is.
