What did you think of last nights Hallmark Hall movie, "Front of the Class"?

I was pleasent suprised and empowered by Hallmark's possitive, life-affirming, humanizing, sensitive, transformative versus toxic protrayal of a young man with terets who presued his life dream, while embracing who he was, including his terets as an intergral part of who he is. I hope society goes even further and reckgonizes that a "disability" i.e. like terets or autism, is not really a "disability" at all, but a unique character trait, which is a sourse of life and creativity.

My only critique is that they did show him as happy-go-lucky, which is not necessuarly my reality being an Aspie. I am more of a tortured soul than happy-go-lucky most of the time. And, I don't graciously take oppression, like the main protaginist did.

But, all and all, I was very impressed with this signifigantly better protrayal of "disability" issues. This is light years ahead of a sob story or a freak show. It showed the main character as a full human beings, and a regular guy. With thoughts, feelings, desires, and dreams. Trying to live as ordinary of life as possible, without ignoring his differences.

It also got a lot of nice reviews at IMDB as well. I don't even recall anyone saying they didn't like it there.

I don't remember this particular incident in the movie-but I came in a few minutes late to the movie. Was this at the beginning?
