This show, called ReGenesis, is pretty interesting. It also has a realitivly decent protrayal of Aspergers, albeit one with NO social skills. Kinda worth a watch if you're into CSI-type stuff.

It's about a bio-lab that's like, a north american CDC. Weird show, probably why it only lasted one season. You can find it Here on Hulu, but it's TV-MA, so you need an account to watch it.

A friend sent me the first two seasons on DVD. It's really good, but sometimes has imagery I'd rather forget.

I do like how the guy with AS is portrayed as compassionate and a lot of other things that are often stereotyped as not existing in autistic people.

It has a second season? Well crap! Hulu needs to put that up! And yea, some of the images are REALLY graphic. Hence the TV-MA.

Yea, they do a decent job with him! He's off, but not so far as to be a 'lost cause'. Really a good depection. I missed the begining of the first ep where he explained he has AS, and so all the time I was telling fiancee "I think that guys got AS". He finally told me to shut up, they covered that in the first ep. :P

Am squeamish so I look away during some scenes.
There are 3 or 4 seasons (52 episodes) of program:

Thing I wrote a month ago, waiting for place to post it:

"ReGenesis" (Canadian biotech sci-fi, syndicated):
I don't like everything about it, but it has some cool stuff-including nifty hypnotic title/theme music. Have only seen few episodes, but had been habitually ignoring it for while (noticing name listed on tv schedule, and thinking dismissively, what's that silly thing supposed to be ?) until past few months.
One of the characters (not the actor, but the role) has Asperger's diagnosis & apparently mentions that. For once, I spotted possibility "hey, is this character gonna' be revealed to have OCD, because I think AS feels right for this guy"-before seeing online lists of who (in fictional media) is referred to (confirmed or suspected) as ASD.

Think, that for a fictional character with an ASD, "Bob Melnikov" is "good" writing & portrayal: neutral example-with both positives & negatives-neither a "burden" nor "paragon". Character comes across far more "authentically" on level I relate to-compared with "Boston Legal" guy.

Yeah, it went for 4 seasons, 13 episodes each. The writers had AS pegged as did the actor. Even the cringe-worthy stuff. Like when he is lecturing the streetwalker about the Asian Brown Cloud. When David shows up, he says "I am surprised, Bob". Bob replies that he was just explaining the ABC to her and David replies "of course you were Bob"...

I can see the same happening to me.
