Didn't see any thread about this yet. First preseason poll is out, meaning the discussion can begin, that is if anyone's interested :)

Quote:
1. Georgia (22)
2. USC (14)
3. Ohio State (14)
4. Oklahoma (3)
5. Florida (5)
6. LSU (3)

So who's going to win it all?

Georgia probably has the toughest schedule in the country though.

And why florida up so high? They lost their bowl game!

I think Ohio State has a good chance to win it, if they can improve on the lines on both sides of the ball. The talent is definately there at the skill positions, but in the last 2 NC games, they lost because they just got hammered on both the Oline and Dline.

I'm probably going to get flamed by the SEC rednecks, but oh well. :D

Other teams with a good chance include UGA, FLA, Okie, and USC.

Georgia all the way. I hate usc, they are always overrated.

Anything but Penn.State and Syracuse. I'm tired of the Big East hype here in the west.
BTW I love the Georgia Tech "Buzz" mascot in the Chucks hi-tops as well as Ohio St.'s "Brutus Buckeye"...

Doesn't matter. It's only a hypothetical championship. If you have to rely on polls to determine who's the best, then it's no better than figure skating, isn't it?

touche

Still, we can still debate about who's the best team (forget about championships) or who will win their conference championship (an actual real championship decided on the field)

Georgia is going to have it tough. they have Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Florida on their schedule and I don't think they can win them all.

I'll bet that another team (either Alabama or Florida) will win the SEC title

I'm a die-hard Minnesota fan and I think my Gophers can pull it off against Ohio State this Saturday!
