Some people with CP are above average intelligence, especially in certain areas. I have significant right hemisphere brain damage, so my mathematical ability is impaired while my verbal/linguistic ability is above average. My spatial orientation is also impaired; I don't like driving, for example.

That is interesting, I cant do math, even very basic stuff, I never thought of it like that, I need a brain scan! I am also pretty non verbal, but I always thought it was the autism, hard to tell I guess. I wonder if spelling is the same part of the brain as math?

Yeah, I like to believe I am a genius, most people that know me might disagree though, lol

going online opens up a big world. lots of people are really disabled and fu***ed up - i won't go into detail - but you so much that millions of people in the hospitals, nursing homes, and on the streets do not have - you've got domestic comfort, you are hooked up to the Internet, you can think and connect with people via the forums, you are not dying from a mrsa infection that is eating up your body, and your are not having growing crates in your thighs from a calcium overproduction disorder that is slowly killing you, you are not completely out of your mind like people with alzheimers or schizophrenia - plus a lot of people in third world countries - even my former neighbors - would switch places with you any day. being normal in a very bad situation is not as good as being disabled in a so-so situation.

I am not understanding the message you are trying to send me??? I know people are way worse off then me, that is why I said my problems are minor. I was just posting stuff relevant to the topic. I have more confidence in myself then most people, so if you thought I was complaining I was not. If I somehow offended you, I am sorry!
