155.8, for a total of 20.8 pounds. Still on automatic.

Next weigh-in won't be as good. I stumbled over my own doorstep Thursday morning and have a huge, nasty lumpy bruise on that leg - no gym and a lot less walking until it stops hurting,

Down to 166lbs, though I'm sure some of that was muscle. Hooray for pre-exam anxiety?

Just been up to get myself weighed, and I now weigh 25 stone 5 lbs (159.07kg/350.7 lb), meaning I've lost 5.5 pounds. I weighed 25st 10.5 lbs last week (159.42 kg/351.4 lb) - I screwed up the measurements a bit.

Just been weighed again tonight. I now weigh 25st ½lb, meaning I've lost three and a half pounds this week - ten pounds since I started. Not bad, eh? ;)

The next person that says I'm not dedicated to this cause gets crushed. :)

No posting last week - my computer crashed and it took two days of intense effort by a friend to get it up and running again. OK: First the bad news.

After two weeks away from the gym and without my usual long walk(s), I gained two pounds to check in at 157.8. The doctor weighed me in at 159, but I was wearing a long skirt at the time. A skirt so he could check the leg easily; long because the leg was a hideous sight. As I told him, "You have to make allowances for five pounds of skirt!"

Hearing about the gym, he urged me to return and do what I could that didn't affect the leg, to go in for aquatics, and to use the exercycle (a machine I thought the injury made impossible.)

Yesterday's weigh-in: I lost a pound, for 156.8. The exercycle worked out extremely well.

If anyone wants an incentive to walk a whole lot more, let me recommend two books, neither of them about exercise. James Howard Kunstler's "The Long Emergency" and Jeremy Leggett's "The Empty Tank." For an extremely quick & dirty summary of what they're saying, just go to fill up your car and look at the prices posted.

i'm starting weight watchers today. i'm not overweight, but if i gain 10 pounds EVER i'm in a shedload of trouble. i'd like to lose like 10-15 (then i'd be like 120... i'm 5'3") actually. i need to fix my dietary habits, i'm addicted to sugar. i love it but i have to cut back and i can't find any motivation at home. i guess it's better to start being healthy when you're young right? wish me luck!

OK. I've just been up to the fat club. I now weigh 25st 1lb, meaning I've gained half a pound. I think it was the drinking at the weekend that did it. I'm a little annoyed with myself at the moment for this small setback but I will overcome this.

OK, I went up to the fat club this evening. A reversal of fortune last week: I now weigh 24st 13lb, meaning I've lost two pounds. Only two and a half pounds to lose before I've lost a stone. Not bad, eh? It's walking in the lovely May afternoons in Lancashire what does it. ;)

I weighed in today at 156.0 pounds and went to the gym and worked out, except for the leg press because my banged up leg is still sensitive. Put in 20 minutes on the exercycle by bringing along a copy of The Atlantic to read while cycling.

I renewed my locker rental for the summer semester.
