Set a goal for myself recently
100 miles on strictly urban roads (By my definition, those with traffic lights or stop signs within 4 miles of any given intersection in any direction)

took me 7h over a course of 5 days lol

not sure if it was AVA branded or not, i looked but i didn't see AVA anywhere, but i don't really know what to look for or where specifically to look.

also, not sure what gruppo means, i looked it up and it said something about the peripherals (i.e. gear changers and stuff), so i'm assuming it means what company makes all the extra stuff. mine is shimano, the clipless pedals didn't come with it but the ones the shop installed are shimano too

Another city specifically. But generally riding along rivers is nice and tranquil.

Group set or 'gruppo' means the group of parts that make up the drive train, both deralures, shifters, cassette (back gears), chain, sometimes the crankset and the brakes. Usually these all come together in a set. You can pick different groupsets from Shimano, Campy, or Sram, or you can mix and match some or use other brand parts. So for example, my bike I have Sram groupset, with shimano brakes. Your new bike has a shimano group, not sure about your old one. Here is a wiki, but most groups do not come with all the things wiki lists

i just found a cure for obesity: become obsessed with biking. i've lost at least 5lbs since i've gotten my bike and i'm eating a lot more than before. i think i've also added a bit of muscle, so i may have lost a bit more than 5lbs of fat because it's a noticeable difference. the docs at the rowing club go it in 3 days and i'll start rowing in about a week or so, waiting until after exams, so i should be down to competition weight in no time.

It's a cure for sadness
