traded in one of my old boards for a sweet second hand semi-gun, near perfect dimensions for my height/weight.

6'7" x 18.5" x 2 5/16"

it's in pretty good nick too. can't wait to try it out in some bigger stuff. got a sweet quiver now - small wave board, std HP board, and a semi gun for the bigger stuff...

... i only wish i'd had the semi gun for me margaret river trip... could have snuck into a few more of those double overhead sets...

the semi-gun should be good for our trip... assuming we're gonna hit up some heavin reef breaks

RNS... you made your own board? man, that's so cool. How's it go? I reckon an ironing board would go better than anything i could make!

man that sux!

there's a change i can stay in my current job. fingers crossed... a trip in december might still be good... samoa, solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, or Hawaii... please please please!

yeh, new semi guns should get me into some nice waves a lot easier... has a nice rounded pin tail too with a mid point pulled forward a bit for easier take offs.

man, hasn't been much happening on the east coast. it's been blowin up down south though in Vicco and South Oz. Check it out:

Vicco

South Oz
http://www.swellnet.com.au/sessions.php ... 070909.php

Apparently a big high is parking itself in the tasman... should lead to some fun waves on the weekend. hoping to get down the gold coast on saturday morning for a paddle.

how's things at your end?

Dude those are some monsters! I've always wanted to surf Bells. Nice high quality pics too. Kirra is on the gold coast right? Slater said thats one of his favorite breaks.

I'm camping on the other coast this weekend. Hopefully I can catch dinner haha. Sebastin Inlet (a state park) has some real good fishing. It looks like typical fl summer waist high at best, but a day of small surf is better than no surf haha. I got a new skim board a couple of weeks ago for 40 dollars. Its got some shape to it for a wood board, we will see how it planes this weekend. Im working on planning a puerto escondido trip for late spring early summer next year when it starts to jack up there. Its really the only destination i can afford haha. Let me know if your interested.

yeh, i've always wanted to hit up bells. did you see the WCT comp there this year? Man, there was these huge shrackable walls peeling down the point. looked unreal.

yeh, puerto escondido is a bit out of my price range being on the other side of the world...

will probably give indo the flick this year as their season is winding down... and hit up PNG instead as it's meant to be 'ultra consistent' in december... with a maximum of 20 surfers at any time it's looking the goods:

I guess I would still consider myself a surfer although it has been about 2 years since I've been in the water. I know it kills me just thinking about it. Should be taking a trip back to california to visit family in the next few months and hopefully there will be some sort of swell going on while I'm there.

Also I rode a surfboard till I was about 15 or so and then switched to kneeboarding although probably only the Aussies will have heard of that. Although I am from the same town as the guy who invented the kneeboard.

This thread's been pretty quiet lately... where's everyone been surfing lately? Scored any epic sessions?

Cool. I've thought about doing that but am not so good with people.
