i dont like karate too many rules. i prefer the free form sparring i.e. the bar fight. i really dont want to be flagged cause i broke a bottle over someones head.

Well, bully_on_speed, if you started coming to class and breaking bottles over people's heads, two things would happen:

* All students would spend the majority of their time in a hospital, instead of training
* Since most students will be in a hospital at any given time, the low attendance would drive school into bankrupcy

Now, there are people out there who are into taking a lot of damage. There are martial art schools for that, too. Those people, though, tend to age faster, and suffer from ever-accumulating array of injuries that never fully healed.

Now about bar fights, IMO starting them is a really bad idea. Once you learn a bit about just how fragile the human body really is... and that smaller people can actually be quite dangerous... starting fights in general just starts to lose its flavor.

You do know that no matter how muscular you are, your throat is as exposed as anyone else's, and your body is LITTERED with vulnerable points where a single knife slash by a completely inexperienced brawler will cause you to bleed out within minutes?

Well... you do now.

Why do you want to start bar fights??

I understand feeling a bit reckless and wanting to smack anyone who pisses you off, but really...why do you want to seriously injure someone??
