I'm in no position to judge! My own diet isn't so good. I don't take enuff excercise ... I'm fond of beer, fatty foods, etc. Tho I can say I don't smoke, drink to excess, or do any kind of illegal drug. Since we both suffer from the same problem, I'd say lifestyle changes are a good idea.

Freeze-dried noodles are bad for you. Anything free-dried can't be good eating if you know what I mean. Like that stuff they use to replace the sugar in your coffee, "coffee whitener." :eew: Supposedly to spare you from the deleterious effects of sugar, yeah right. You'd be much better off with sugar! At least with sugar it's the devil you know and not some anyonymous stew of chemicals.

You're right. Your body does not recognize fake sugar, so it binds with other stuff and deposits in your body, which is why fat people who drink tons of diet sodas get even fatter. Real sugar is processed immediately, which is why you get a quick high and crash a while later. Not good, but better than chemicals. As for energy, you need to change your diet, clearly this one is not giving you the energy it should. Start your morning with a couple of cups of strong green tea, with acetyl L-carnitine (you can get for cheap onVitacost.com or any other vitamin site), that should rev you up and get you going in a healthy way. Try eating small meals, avoiding sugars, fried foods, or red meat, in favor of complex carbohydrates which burn slower and give you steady energy. Quinoa is an AMAZING grain, superhealthy, tastes great, has complete protein. USe it instead of potatoes or rice, you'll feel the difference.

Oh, and, by the way, exercise actually gives you energy, so get your butt off the couch and move around, even for a few minutes a day. A whole new world awaits you.

And I forgot: do not listen to any sites that say nutrition/gov. They are puppets for the government, have nothing to do with real nutrition and everything to do with lobbies and corporations.
