And the worst part is...it's Suave 24-Hour Protection but then I put it on and I'm sweating within the hour. What the heck?

Could try baking soda paste to absorb wetness and odor. You would probably have to change it a couple of times a day.

Try men's deodorant.

I tried the degree for men deodorant that supposedly responds to adrenaline when it was advertised on Eureka. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked all day. So far, I've never needed to apply it more than twice daily. Basically, just keep looking - you only need to find one that works.

You can try clinical strength deodorant as well. It's at drugstores or online.

Google Hyperhydrosis treatments. That's a fairly common problem, and I have it.

I recomend trying Odaban - http://www.odaban.com

It partly blocks sweat ducts so the sweat is re-routed from your underarm to areas like your arms where it can evaporate so not leaving you all sweaty or to your kidneys for excretion. You pop it on before you go to bed (via cotton wool), then wash off in the morning. It costs around £8.50 for 30ml but you only need to use a small amount a few times a week and it works really well so worth the cost.

Deodorants are to prevent odour, antiperspirants prevent excessive sweating.
If going for normal products then go for Mitchem http://mitchum.com for your antiperspirant which started off life as a men's heavy-duty antiperspirant the range is really good, and for deodorant go for crystal deodorants like PitRok http://www.pitrok.co.uk which prevent bacterial growth to prevent odour to begin with, rather than using chemical fragrance to cover-up the odour once it starts as with most deodorants.

Baking soda works, but a nicer way of using powder to absorb sweat is to use dusting powders so you smell pretty too, like these - http://www.lush.co.uk/shop/product/category/path/154_161/dusting-powders. Then during the day use wet-wipes on areas like underarms to prevent odour and they will cool you down too which helps a lot.

It is normal to sweat, heck it is recommended to sweat and be cooled by it! ;D

Now if you are sweating too much, first of all, I would try one of two things. Always wear a cotton undershirt under your main clothes. Even if feel you are sweating more because of it, the cotton shirt will dispense the sweat quicker and allow you too cool better. This better evapiration of sweat will cause you less skin irritation too!
Alternative to the cotton fruit-of-the-loom type shirts, are the generic for Summer UnderArmour shirts you can get at Target or Walmart (or other stores of course). Wear that as your undershirt. (people love these shirts, they are smooth and feels like you have a hairless body; try not to get it too tight). Same benefits as the cotton shirt, but some might not like the synthetic material.

Next idea to try, if you really want to reduce sweat is use Anti-Perspirant deodorant. Though I would not recommend using Anti-Perspirant unless you truly are an extreme sweater.
I do recommend for people with 'smelly' sweat. People with smelly sweat need to reset all the bacteria that live with their skin in that area; and the dehydrating aspect of the Anti-Perspirant will help kill and rest the bacteria. (but do try to take baths to help remove the extreme bacterias too ).

Try to make the undershirts fashionable on your self if you don't to wear an extra layer of clothes. Find a way to make it your main article of clothing. Like wear the undershirt with a button-up shirt (you don't have to button the shirt!).
