NHL All-Star ... What happened?

Being from the U.K, I wasn't able to see anything related to the All-Star break, either with the skills contest or the actual matchup. From what I gather, Chara broke his own shot speed record and Gaborik took the MVP of the game, but can someone here fill me in on what I missed. Stupid GameCenter gives me very little on the subject.

I worked all weekend but am about 3/4 of the way through watching the replay of the game. The cool part of the skills competition I saw was the penalty-shot/one-on-one portion. Patrick Kane of the Blackhawks took the day easily with a sliding Clark Kent/Superman diving score (complete with cape) and followed it up with an exploding-puck shot where none of the four pieces of the puck actually went into the net.

The game itself has been pretty cool from the portion of the replay I've seen so far. As much as I hate the Canadiens, I kinda liked Carey Price miked-up in goal. Listening to his play-by-play, even as shots were coming at him, was the highlight of the game for me. Glad to see Team Chara (with all 3 Bruins in the game) get the 12-9 win.

Oh yeah ... and Daniel Alfredsson got a standing ovation from the hometown Ottawa fans after scoring a goal in the second period ... and then quickly followed it up with a second goal barely a minute later.

I just watched the 'Superkane' and I admit that was quite impressive heh

My favourite part was when Perry pulled out a goalie stick hahaha I was like WTF and it made me laugh my ass off
