I took my dad's Centrum "Silver" multivitamin for age 50+ (with a full-sized carrot and hot-water-chocolate) and it may not be exactly right for me as I most likely am lacking/needing different things because he's like 40 years older than me, but damn, I felt f*****g straight. I felt like a dude. I could concentrate on the issue of Wired (Bill Gates wants you to save the world) that i'd been trying to read...I felt discipline being left in my hands rather than becoming anxious or self-pitying or any other sissy/childish Asperger's bullsh!t...

and all this with a poorly fitted multivitamin.

That is why I wonder what anyone takes? How can I chemically modify myself into a better person? Aside from your own mental fortitude of course.

As the drug dealer from Limitless said, "It helps if you are already smart".

btw I'm not just saying, say, Modafinil or Provigil or Cognizin or some lame common one like Adderall/Ritalin... This can also include like green tea or something like that...But I really wanted people's drug experiences.

 I've taken a multivitamin every day for the last 30 years and they've never made me feel like that.

I did find this to be true, many years before these genius researchers did:

probably because I hadn't eaten really anything the whole day before...maybe like 800 calories total.

I started GFCF but i don't take control of my diet as...I'm broke.

Also, why isn't everyone with AS on some sort of neural enhancer? As long as YOU do your part, it "should" be enough to keep on top of things.

EDIT:SOrry for 2x post

Not taking any nootropics but some that are really good are 98-99% pure L-theanine Powder (Not capsules), Phenibut HCL***Addictive and dangerous especially if you ever become addicted but ever so powerful in the right hands, and Phenylpiracetam (Supposed to be 1000 times stronger than Piracetam)...

To be honest though the best nootropics come easy and at a lesser price than these supplements. They are good diet, regular exercise, and rest.

I have attempted taking many different supplements over the years - but as far as what I would consider to be nootropic (such as Alpha Brain) - I stay away from them. I have heard too many things about the vivid dreams they can give you. And my dreams are vivid enough as it is. Plus, with my high anxiety levels, I am sure that I would pretty much go off the charts in terms of irritability.

More times than not, supplements typically turn out to be either altogether useless or somewhat harmful. A recent article declared that multivitamins and mineral supplements are a waste in terms of preventing chronic disease.

But as far as short term results are concerned, I have read many articles that detail benefits. For instance, the Army performed studies on high doses of L-threonine, an essential amino acid, on soldiers that encountered high-stress situations - and saw that the supplement had positive results in terms of how their bodies handled stress. But I was unable to find a link to that study.
