Lifetime member.

Considered immunotherapy this week, but the cost (even if insurance picked up most of the cost) and having to get shots 3 times a week for 6 weeks then generally tapering off (paying a co-pay each office visit), made it too rich for my blood.

If was was in danger of life-threatening reactions, it'd be different. I can buy a lot of OTC allergy meds for what immunotherapy would cost.

My allergies are fairly common, but almost year round. This year was the first time ever I got tested for them...mostly to try and identify why I was getting more migraines in the last few years.

I had chronic allergy problems throughout my life & I take Singulair & Xyzal for em. Xyzal's kind of like a more potent version of Zyrtec & Singulair helps allergies in a different way than antihistamines & can help prevent asthma too thou I don't have that. Both require prescriptions.

I'm aware that I am very allergic to a certain food. I get a very violent reaction to even a small amount. Other than that, I may have some milder allergy to other things but I don't know exactly what.

Lifetime sufferer of allergies! I have to take daily meds (Zyrtec right now) or I am miserable. I was getting shots twice in my lifetime, once as a kid and again as a 20-something. Both times I didnt notice much of a help so stopped. My skin tests light up like a Christmas tree!
