I've been using kettlebells to get me into condition to compete in triathlons in the near future. They're pretty awesome.

I'm 35, I'm not sure of my body fat percentage, I'm 60 kg and 175 cm (that's 132 lbs and 5'9"). I'm not trying to lose any weight at all, would love to put on more muscle though. Building muscle is scientifically proven to be one of the best cures against aging.

that's seriously impressive! You sound more pro than hobby! I'm not a power lifter, I'm built more for speed and agility, not that I'm suggesting you're slow

Yeah it is very i pressive.
I can barely hit 100kg.
175 would be a world record at any time before the 50's!

lifter here since last year. Have always been a runner but last summer I got sick of the injuries and took up weightlifting. quickly started to feel like an obsession!

I go 5/6 days a week. I am fairly organised in terms of my splits/routine and love it. I go each lunchtime for around 60-75 minutes.

I bench 32.5kg dumbells but I don't like doing deadlifts, I get a sore lower back sometimes and having tried it twice and had pain I decided it wasn't worth it.

I have built myself up to a condition I am really proud of, at nearly 40 I am in the best shape of my life!

Right now my aim is to continue lifting but also shed maybe half a stone. I am doing a 20 minute run each day before I lift along with tampering with the food intake a little to lower the calories slightly and hopefully when I get that done I am going to up the protein levels and start lifting heavier to build up more.

I don't know what my body fat is, I don't really measure what I do, I just go with what feels good.

I find doing this daily has great impacts for my mental health. It gives me a good break from work, it makes me feel better about myself and it makes me sleep better (I am a bad sleeper!)

I started awhile back. Doctor said I was getting old so I should start lifting some weights. 5'10", 215 pounds, 17-18% body fat. I have benched 315 pounds and that's probably about my max. I don't dead lift, this old back can't take it anymore. Turning 50 next year.

I lift weights six times a week. I use dumbbells on three of those days and use a kettlebell on the other three days. I also have a barbell that I've used in previous workout routines but I don't have a bench at the moment so I'm limited in what I can do with it.

My body fat has gone down from almost 20% to 14% over the past couple of years so it has had some positive effect though I've also cut back on sugar and snacking which will also have helped. I wouldn't mind reducing my body fat by another 1-2% but I can live with it being at its current level.

6th day in a row today. Today was hard but I am pleased with my first day back after holiday. I am aiming to lose a few pounds before hitting the weights harder and upping the protein.

Ran for 15-20 minutes at the start of each session this week and pushed myself hard on the weights but a lot of it was playing with my technique and trying new things.

Now for 2 days rest! (Unless I get itchy feet on Sunday evening)

A lot in high school. Getting back to it now. I am starting slow and I can say I have lost a lot of weight. I lift, then recover for two days by doing calisthenics and running/hiking, sometimes yoga or tai chi. I am really out of shape and still learning. This has always been a solitary activity for me.

I just finished lifting my coffee cup to my mouth.

But I do recall years ago wanting to lift, but felt very insecure going to the weight room when other guys were in there. I did try, every time I was posted to a new base, but just couldn't. I ended up not doing anything. I'm just a skinny wimp now. Good thing I just hang around with me, myself & I. They don't bully me!
