Previously sertraline.

I went to the hospital for suicidal ideation, and while I was there they switched me to lamotrigine and quetiapine(for sleep).

None. Never have.
I use to take 5 types of prescription meds for high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma. I had bariatric surgery 5 years ago, lost 120 pounds weight and that drove these conditions into remission. So I am off all my meds.

Remeron for a few years, it made me really tired all the time - I was in high school at the time and could not stay awake during my classes no matter how hard I tried.

Zoloft - that was okay.

Lorazepam - didn't really need that because I wasn't feeling much else past the depression, so I wasn't having much in the way of anxiety, but the psychiatrist I was seeing at the time prescribed it anyway

Abilify - that put me in the hospital because I was getting mental images of horrible things happening to me or to things I'd see (for example, if I saw a picture of a flower, the flower would wither and die). It started gradually but became almost constant, to the point that I was seriously considering killing myself just to make it stop, but it stopped as soon as I was off the Abilify.

Currently I'm on venlafaxine and depakote - we'll see how that ends up working for me.

That was my experience on it but it also made me very hungry. I'd wake up, eat, go back to sleep after an hour or so, sleep for a few hours, wake up again & the cycle would continue. I told my neurologist about it cuz I was taking it for a tremor disorder & instead of taking me off the med, he prescribed a med to counteract the effects of being hungry but it wouldn't of helped with me being tired at all. That was my last appointment with the guy & I gave up trying to them my tremors treated.

I think I remember at least some of what I took in the past. Note that these medications listed are not necessarily in order or were taken at the same time. I remember taking Zoloft for anxiety, clonidine for sleep, Trintellix for anxiety, Lexapro for anxiety, naltrexone for appetite control, trazodone for sleep, Rexulti for depression, amantadine for appetite control, and Deplin for anxiety. The Zoloft just made me hyperactive and the naltrexone made me excessively drowsy during the day. (I remember nearly falling asleep one day due to the naltrexone during biology class even though I find the concept of biology highly fascinating.) The clonidine, Trintellix, and Lexapro were ineffective. The results of a genetic test claimed that the Lexapro was incompatible with my body's cells, so my current psychiatrist told me to discontinue it. I suffered from withdrawal, so he put me back on it. A different psychiatrist wanted me to immediately discontinue the Lexapro and start taking Prozac. When I went to get a second opinion from my current psychiatrist, he disagreed with the other psychiatrist's plan, probably because he either didn't like the idea of putting me on another SSRI or he thought it wouldn't be super effective because of what the genetic test said about it. (It said that there was a chance my body could reject it.)

Wow thats quite the question lol

Ritalin, Adderal, Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, Remeron, Zyprexa, Abilify, Seroquel, gabapentin, Lamictal, Depakote, hydroxyzine, benzatropine, Ativan, Trazadone, Effexor, Cymbalta, Straterra........there might be some I can't remember being on lol........I have been a walking and talking guinea pig for the pharmaceutical industry. I believe all the meds have made me sterile...but that's speculation.

the gabapentin/Neurontin has the reputation of turning off the hydraulics.

My first experience on antipsychotics was Prozac. Made me meaner than a cornered raccoon. Nearly beheaded some of the brass asses within DCSOPS at the Pentagon. (Not a wise thing to do). The doctor pu me on Effexor. Had nothing but problems with tinnitus. I was next put on amittyptiline. Had one massive hangover daily. Switched doctors (MD to DO. DO’s in general do not believe in antipsychotics.). I was off antipsychotics for a few years. Ended up switching doctors again after losing job as a support tech with Apple. Got put on celexa and BusPar after melting down in my PCP’s office and sent to psych ER (You would too when trying to take care of an invalid mother, trying to find work, (other than delivering pizza), and being criticized by my brothers for being on these drugs, as well as being a lazy-assed motherf!cker, during the economic meltdown of 2008. The final straw, which ended up putting me on SSDI, and further criticism by my brothers for accepting SSDI, was Viibryd. Turns out that I was having major reactions to all of these drugs. I’ve had better results taking fish oil, niacin, Zinc and ginkgo Bilbao, even though I still have problems with depression and anxiety, specifically PTSD. I’ve also had better luck with psychotherapy. I’m still of the opinion that talk is better than pills, when it comes to depression.

The first one was Lovan (fluoxetine) then:
Epilim (sodium valproate)
dexamphetamine (which I'm still taking)
Edronax (reboxetine)
Seroquel (quetiapine)
Zyprexa (olanzapine)
Lexapro (escitalopram)
Cymbalta (duloxetine)
Ritalin (methylphenidate)
Remeron (mirtazapine)
Effexor (venlafaxine)
... some benzodiazepines in hospital...
And more I don't remember.

Right now I'm on:
Serenace (haloperidol)
Benztrop (benztropine - for the side effects of haloperidol)
Aurorix (moclobemide)
Quilonum (lithium)
dexamphetamine.

This current combination is the best I've had so far. I've been stable mentally since I started this combination in hospital in 2013.

Way to many when I was a kid. They made me obese and constantly short of breath. My brother who was in school to be a natropath doctor noticed, called my mom and said, Get her off all them pills before they kill her! That psychiatrist doesn't know what he's talking about!". I walk out of doctors offices the second the suggest taking pysch drugs. I'm an adult now and can make up my own mind. My mom thinks I'm depressed but it's only because she screams at me and doesn't listen.

A few years ago, while still in the military, I was put on Zoloft. It sorta turned me into more of a hermit.

So off that, and tried Paxil. But that didn't do anything for me.

The third one was a two-phase drug. I can't remember what it was called. But I decided that since I was soon to be out of the military, I wouldn't bother with it. That was in 2011 or 2012. I haven't been on anything since.
