Donate a kidney? Depends on the person. My first ex spouse is currently on a wait list for a kidney. Despite having kids with the guy, I would not give him a kidney if I was compatible. He has, for the last 20 plus years ignored doctors telling him what he needs to do to better his health. He makes horrible choice after horrible choice and if he pissed away the gift of a kidney by continuing on as he does, I'd be livid. I have no reason to think he wouldn't piss it away either. Even now on his wait list, he still refuses to take simple steps to maintain his health. He's not changing. Now if it was a someone I knew, who didn't do that to their own self and was actively taking steps to be and stay healthy, sure. Assuming I could pass the requirements anyway. They might not let me. I dunno.
