I noticed recently that I began to taste the olives that was part of Humus dish.

I really like the Greek cuisine even though I am a Pole:-)

I like a particular dish Gyros (especially with spicy sauce) and humus.

I notice there are many people that strongly dislike olives. I wonder what's so off-putting about them. I've always loved them since I tried them for the first time. I like both green and black. I like ones that are mixed with chillies and garlic. I love olive oil, too.

Once when I was a kid seemed to me disgusting, I associated without knowing why the oil paint, but now I began to like them :-)

I love olives - with the exception of the nasty black ones that come in cans. Those taste nothing like olives to me.

Great source of mono unsaturated fats. Also help raise HDLs ("good" cholesterol) and lower the "bad" LDLs.

I like them in salad and I will only eat kalamata olives. They're too salty plain.

I love olives...I will consume a whole big jar of those green olives with the red pimento peppers or whatever in them less than a day if I want to. I've also had them stuffed with other things, like I got some that had chunks of garlic instead of pimentos or I've had plain ones....with nothing in them in which case I can never help myself from joking about them not having anything inside due to a certain scene from the movie Spinal Tap concerning tiny bread and a pimento olive with nothing in it.

I also like dipping bread in olive oil with seasonings in it.

Most canned products don't do justice to the more fresh or jarred version....I do remember though when canned black olives where served me and my siblings would put them on our fingers and play around with them before eating them. But yeah don't care much for those kind either.

I love eating Kalamata Olives.

Especially on pizzas or sprinkled on top of steamed foods.

I really hate the taste of olives, just a flake of one on a plate of food can ruin the dish for me, making me gag terribly.
i have had several dishes where only a minor olive was added, and no matter how much hot sauce and garlic sauce i added, i could not shake the taste; i had to heat a pizza...

i have the same reaction to goat cheese, for some reason

There are very few things I don't like. Olives happen to be one of them. I am not picky about food, but I like the taste diversity a lot. When I am in a foreign country, I like to know what they eat, what its name is, and how it tastes.

I was in South Africa a year ago, and I ate droë wors (dry sausage), boerewors (other kind of sausage), vetkoek (some kind of fried cookie) and beskuit (different from Dutch beschuit). There are also food related to Xhosa and Zulu.
