I can't stand when players do that. It's yet another reason why I truly DISLIKE Crosby. My hubby and I used to make submarine noises whenever he was announced..."Whoop, Whoop, Dive, Dive..."

 On a side note Dallas beat the Capitals! 8O They have an 11-3 record which is one of the best records in the NHL.

Sorry for the double post.
The last few games were rough for me to handle, but we do have the Panthers up next. 8) * let's up it goes well *

Well, I just finished watching the game... and Dallas lost big time.

Another nice win by the Bruins last night ... offense is in high gear. 34 goals over the last six games, which is the most in any six game stretch since 1994. And with six straight W's, the B's are officially out of the cellar. Lowly Columbus is up next. :)

Did anyone see the Flyers with that 1-3-1 defense? Do you think it was a good move?

Hard to say. On one hand, it's a lame response by the Flyers ... but on the other, it not like a football game where you can just throw a deep pass past an overaggressive defense. The 1-3-1 is only a "trap" because of offsides and icing. It'll be interesting to see if the NHL develops any kind of position on it.

I agree, it is pretty lame for the Flyers to do that. It would be more interesting if they were ahead by one, instead of tied like they were.

Not only was it tied but it was only 30 seconds into the game. Clearly, they planned to do it at their first opportunity.

Yeah, I just don't why they would do that on the very first possesion of the game?

Actually, I thought it was pretty funny. It was almost like kids on a playground. TB was being stubborn. They didn't wanna play unless Philly played into their "trap". What else was Philly supposed to do? Say ok, we give up, we're gonna jump in your trap? Instead they they played playground "keep away". Not the most mature way to handle things either way. I guess "play nice" isn't in the rule book of the NHL. At least they have the "timeout box". :?

I think it would have been a better call if the Flyers were leading in the third period, but not on the very first possesion of the game.

Also, we are about twenty games into the season. Thoughts on your team, or the league in general?
My Stars, although are somewhat fine with relationship of their record. Are on a three game losing streak * I'm not in a good mood about it * Granted we had to play Pittsburgh and Detroit, but Flordia? :? Not Tampa Bay , but The Flordia Panthers, a team you don't hear alot from.

One thing I can say fore sure is that I love the caliber of the youth brought in by the Flyers. They have been really contributing. It seems like they have a shot at the playoffs as long as Bryzgalov can hold up. It seems he may let in the soft goal here or there, but as long as the lines don't make many mistakes, ie turnovers/dumb penalties, they should stay strong. On that point, however, is the recent loss of Jagr with the groin. Guess I just have to wait on the news of how long he'll be out.
I have to admit that at this point in the season I haven't been paying too much attention to the rest of the league, only as they play the Flyers.
I've been paying a-lot of attention to my other team, the Baltimore Ravens. Their season is closer to being over so that's what's I'm focusing on. Go Ravens! :geek:

The Leafs are doing there annual slump. They seem to always start off okay and than fall apart which seems to be happening again this year.
I have been pleased with the Coyotes as I didn't expect much but they have been playing okay. I didn't expect much this year so them being competitive is good with me.

Hahaha not surprised at all. It's funny how dudes were telling me that the Leafs actually have a chance at winning the Stanley Cup this season as if it isn't the same old pattern over and over again.

Anyways its about time Crosby's back on ice. The Pens have been on top of the division so far thanks to Neal, Malkin, Letang, and Staal but now that they have Crosby they're gonna be even more of a force to be reckoned with than they already are.

It's about time Crosby got back on the ice. Without him, it seemed so weird not seeing him on the very few highlights shown on ESPN.

Spectacular performance by Tim Thomas tonight!

Bruins 1, Canadiens 0

Nine in a row baby! Worst to first in 16 days. That's the stuff champions are made of. 8)
