I know the feeling, I took my veganism very seriously indeed, then I gradually lapsed into a veggo, and now 20 years later I am back to the BBQ
But I do remember the occasions when I did inadvertently eat meat I was horrified.
Why the return to meat, purely practical shallow reasons, I was not spending the time to prepare proper nutritious food, and I lived with a bunch of meat eaters and gradually I succumbed to an easier food routine
