If you're willing to fork out some dough, see if you can join a local gym. I know local part-charity gyms sometimes subsidize membership payments if you're unable to pay the full bill. It's worth checking out because they sometimes have group fitness classes, and a variety at that. I often get bored of doing the same routine.

Some good classes to check out are yoga/pilates (for relaxation especially), and swimming (ever try swimming lessons to learn more than just the breaststroke? some coaches can teach you how to work your different muscle groups). I find it exciting to try new forms of exercise and learn new things. I also enjoy having others around to keep me accountable for coming to class, so I can't keep procrastinating or making excuses.

A gym is also nice to be able to workout indoors, and have the option of doing a variety of different types of exercises or using a variety of workout machines in one go.

Also, I am very clumsy like you. The reason I strongly suggest swimming if you can is because it is the one sport I can do without tripping over my own shoes. The water also calms me down.

You have to learn to walk before you can run. Your not going to run a marathon tomorrow. :)

Start with walking.

Then after a few weeks, take it up to a swift walk.

Then after a few weeks, quick time. (Run three paces, walk two)

Then after a few weeks, you should be able to start running. Start small, maybe mix some running in with some quick time.

Getting into shape is a journey. It'll take time; but it's worth it.

BTW, breast stroke is an excellent stroke to swim because you don't much forward momentum so you have to use energy.

It will take her forever to get good definition, stamina and lung capacity doing that, high intensity workouts are what help the most when it comes to lowering body fat.

You can always dance on your own with an IPOD in your spare time. Since you like to walk, that's a good option. Start at a moderate pace for about five to ten minutes, then walk faster. When you are near being finished, walk at a slower pace for a few minutes. Work on building endurance by gradually walking further. Eventually, do some sprints while walking.
I walked/jogged over nine miles a week ago. So far, it's my record. The day was cloudy and cool. I know I definitely don't want to try it in the heat and sun. I don't like to sweat.
