I have Myopia and I am worried about eye strain.

If your kid is already highly nearsighted, i.e. can't read a book without holding it very close, then yes, s/he pretty much has to wear glasses or contacts, and there's not much hope of improving. I was addressing parents of children who haven't yet reached that point.

I have medium-to-high myopia, but I'm already dealing with posterior vitreous detachment, which causes dark-colored floaters to pop up in my vision from time to time. However, since I have not yet shown any signs of retinal tearing or detachment, my ophthalmologist said that is very unlikely I will ever have a problem with my retina.
