^^^ I'm skinny with long arms/legs, and I also can't do pushups more than a few times. Maybe exercise would help but I know it's not something I have a talent for. I was good at short sprints, but I couldn't run around the field even once. I had no athletic talent as a kid but judo/jiu-jitsu I was sort of ok at. Same with trampolines. Any other sports I was far below average.
Both my judo instructor and my trampoline instructor were about 70, and they could still do almost everything. They had the advanced pupils to demonstrate the difficult things, but they were in better shape than most people half their age. I don't think I'll be doing backflips when I'm 70.

Possibly, but they also spent a large part of every day doing sports. Not many people today can claim that. Our modern lifestyle consists mostly of sitting on chairs, and walking to the next chair. Look at this picture, these are indigenous Australians from 1939 with a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. They look much tougher than the average person you see today. That graybeard is much better shape than I am.

Yes, easily. I get up and down for my two year old all day, so those muscles are used to working lol.

Since they lived on a tropical island (Bathurst Island) and they lacked agriculture, I'd say their main food sources came from fishing, maybe climbing fruit trees to get fruit, and trapping/hunting. The human settlement of areas outside of Africa went mostly along the coast and the rivers. I recently saw some low-tech fishermen from Indonesia on tv, and they had low fat and lots of muscle. Hauling in fishnets all day is probably harder than it looks. The only Western people who look like that spend a lot of time working out.

I wonder what their life expectancy was/is? and I wonder if by emulating their diet and SOME of their vigorous exercise can the rest of us start looking more like them and less like what most of us do?
