I had the exact same BMI when I was actively rowing in varsity crew, training for ~ 14 hours every week including weight lifting, and a year later when I had a sedentary job as a driver for the Department of Agriculture, scarfing on fast food for lunch every day and having grown out of two sizes of genes. BMI is meaningless on an individual level. I count how fit I am by my blood pressure, my heart rate, what I can do at the dojo, and my jean size, not by my height and weight.

I am 1.61 and weigh 63 kilograms. My fat percentage is 22% and my muscle mass 62 (accoarding to scale). Apparearantly that's more athletic than average at my bmi.

I don't know metric but you will want to keep your BMI below 25. for a 6'3" man that would represent a maximum weight of 195 lbs.

Okay then I am 40 lbs / 18 kg overweight. I actually weight 233 lbs, that's a BMI of 29,7.

I hope you are hopping up and down happy :D :bounce: about your youthful fitness. and muscular people expose the central flaw of BMI measurement, IOW it can't differentiate between good weight [muscle] and bad weight [fat].

The BMI model only measures surface mass on 2 dimensions, it does not measure volume in 3 dimensions, therefore it is bad science and not accurate as humans are not 2 dimensional.

Dwayne Wade is considered obese because his BMI is high if you use his height and weight, which is ridiculous, because he has large muscle volume.

BMI should be eliminated as a health measurement altogether.
