I'm not brave enough for real rugby, this is non contact, and similar to EagleTag, Oz Tag, or Mini tag. I'm in a mixed league, and that dynamic makes it really fast paced.

Quote:
The mode of play is based on rugby football with many similarities to touch rugby, although tag rugby is often deemed as a closer simulation of the full contact codes of rugby than touch. Attacking players attempt to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" – pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier, rather than a full contact tackle.

^^^ Interesting...

So, today I did 3 laps around the lake, then back home. I didn't use my track app, but I've done that course enough to know it's about 23 miles.

Bonus:
A pic of my trusty steed...

Did you make the holders for your crutches? And is that a flagpole at the back of the trike?
Ive never seen a trike before, from reading about them they seem much more comfortable than a bicycle :D

~~~~~~~~
I walked 7k today, took a local touristy trail through a different forest... an even surfaced road without any hills :D
Also I did up to 70# on the torso rotation, 55# on the abs crunch, and 65# on the shoulder push weight machines. Hubby says 'nuff so shower time.
Me & my girlfriend had a 4 hour walk today. Two hours to Burger King & two hours back. We took a couple breaks thou. My right thigh is sore so I took an Aleve when I got home & I'll take another when I got to bed along with a Klonopin to helps relax my muscles.
Yeah, I made my "crutch caddies" from pvc pipe and mounted them to my seat frame with some hose clamps--works pretty well. I keep meaning to take them off and cover them in black gorilla tape or something... The trike dealer gave me some extra decals to put on them too.
However, I'd rather ride it than decorate it.
And, that is a flag pole. I also usually wear a yellow safety vest too. About 3-4 miles of my usual course runs parallel to a busy street. Crossing drives can be very dangerous around here. :(
Recumbents (trikes & bikes) are pretty comfortable. However, you can still get saddle sores if you ride a lot. I had some pretty bad ones before I got some decent spandex shorts to wear UNDER my cargo shorts... That helped a bunch.
Today I did my usual 17.5 miles from lake to lake. The trail around the big lake was REALLY crowded. Lotsa people out enjoying the holiday, I guess.
On Memorial Day I only did 45-50 minutes on the treadmill and it hardly counts because I was on facebook and reading the Warped Lens of Perspective blog at the same time.
Also I got up at like 1:30 a.m. and did some wall pushups because I couldn't sleep. I read in a specialist report for one of our autist kiddo's at work where deep pressure was recommended as a calming/comforting technique. It listed things like pushing furniture and wall pushups.
Well I can't push any of our furniture without scratching the hardwood floors, plus hubby would have called them men in the little white coats to come and take me away haha if I'd woke him up pushing furniture around the room at 1:45 a.m. I do feel the wall pushups helped my shoulders though. I asked hubby for a squeeze when I got back in bed and was able to go back to sleep at any rate. :)
Rode 7.4 k's then rowed 8.1 k's against a strong tide on the way out and a strong headwind on the way back. Interesting times. I stayed pretty dry. Will try for a 14 k cycle this afternoon.
I thought I recognised the piping, so many uses. :)
Ran 3k yesterday, it should have been longer but the torrential downpour ended it early.
Ok.
An hour on the elliptical at 3mph avg. I did the whole Yosemite Canyon hike and started the thing in Utah.
Weight machines: up to 45# on chest press.
Only 25# or so on shoulder lift. My shoulders have been "severely tweaked" since I did some kind of ac (acromioclavicular) damage 21 years ago. I'll keep trying.
50# or maybe 55# on the abs crunch. Or was it 65#? I'm really working on that 'cuz my belly fat is the worst part of me and my first target for depletion.
75# on the torso rotation! I felt like I was getting laughed at by a young nt girl at that point. Probably she was just laughing at something on her elliptical screen though. I've been trying to smile at eye contact today even though it ofte feels weird and sometimes painful.
Then I tried two more machines I hadn't used before: the deltoid/pectoral fly and rower. I didn't think I'd manage more than 25 or 30# but I did up to 60# on both directions of deltoid/pec fly and the rower. It was weird that the arms of the machines had a lot of sideways give in them though. the other machines are more rigid.
Then hubby called and he wants me to come for him soon. I'm only on the treadmill so I can post here. It has taken me 20 minutes to log in and write this post and I'm only walking about 1.5mph. Is slow machine and unweildy touchscreen.
So got to go. Back Saturday I hope.
