Being British, I do have a strong preference for tea over coffee. I drink a mug of green tea and a mug of peppermint tea everyday as part of my daily routine. I do it partly for health reasons but also because I genuinely like the taste of those particular teas. I also like lemon and ginger tea and fruit teas but I don’t drink those as often. I don’t usually drink ‘normal’ tea but I do accept it if I’m a guest at someone’s home.

Oh, I like tea very much! Always in a big cup! :D
Black tea with no sugar. Sometimes with the lemon or honey and ginger.
Or different herbal mixes of tea.

Who likes tea? I love tea. Great grandmother used to make a pot every Saturday, and it all went downhill from there. Now that I'm an adult, I have my own kettle and pot, and I don't drink instant or bottled teas anymore.

I try to ween myself down on the amount of sugar I use, but unsweetened tea doesn't make me very happy. Honey is okay, sometimes, in certain teas.

I don't like green tea very much, but recently I tried the jasmine infused kind, and it's not bad. Plus, it goes very well with honey. I also got a raspberry/strawberry/pomegranite one that's good, but it's just flavored, it doesn't have real fruit in it. Maybe I could get a green teabag and an herbal fruit teabag and brew them together...

Herbal teas are okay, when I'm in the mood to make one. I like the fruity ones, but our Meijers stopped selling the Bigelow variety pack I liked. The sleepy herb ones all have a hint of mint in them, so they taste like my mom's old purse candy, but I try not to think about that.

Hmm, now I want to make a tea, though I need to be in bed soon...

I like black (of course), and Earl Grey, and Oolong, and Plantation Mint (black tea + spearmint). I don't care much for flavors, but I want to find a good raspberry, and 20 oz. of Bigelow's caramel flavor (a gift) was my nightly Breath of the Wild ritual (they are now mentally linked together forever for me).

Fun tip: make a cup of peppermint tea and then mix in a packet of hot cocoa mix.

Chai tea is kind of weird. I like it, but it's weird. Kind of like cinnamon. Kind of.

Other then that they have a good morning tea called Morning Thunder which is black tea mixed with yerba mate but I have gotten a little burnt out on that one so I've been wanting something new to try.

I stock up on the Twining's variety pack when it's on sale, and I usually have English or Irish Breakfast in the morning, with sugar and a splash of milk.

Green tea here, with soya milk, decaffeinated after 6pm or so, to guard against insomnia, though I gather there's not much caffeine in the undecaffeinated one. Used to drink Earl Grey tea but I got a bit sick of the bergamot oil. Before then it was all kinds of tea, but my dentist said it was staining my teeth, and I drink tea almost constantly so it likely was a factor. Stopped putting sugar in it decades ago and soon acquired a taste for it that way.

I don't like most boxed herbal teas, don't like mint, citrus or berries, and they charge way too much. Quite like chamomile, and elderflower even more - that grows on trees and isn't hard to chop and dry. I never drink them without real tea and soya milk though. Recently I've been able to get jasmine green tea at £2 for 80 tea bags, tastes great to me, but if I drink it all the time I stop noticing the jasmine's there.

Actually my favourite tea is a very recommended tea for people on the spectrum: brahmi tea (can't post links as a new user atm though).
Now this is something which really helps with concentration and focus.
I had a number as I had to move house over the weekend, and I kept my concentration up for a number of hours too!
This has now become my main tea brand.

I recently got some celestial seasonings green tea with matcha in it, and at first I was kind of disappointed because it didn't seem to have a lot of flavor, but then I read on the box that you should use really hot water...rather than hot water you have let sit for 10 minutes like I tend to do. So I tried it with pouring the water immediately after it got to boiling and that produced a lot more flavor. So yeah seems like you just have to pour the water right when it gets to boiling to get the full taste.

As for pure matcha I have not tried it because I am not sure how I would prepare it as it is such a thin powder. Well actually I have an idea but I don't have the device to do it. There is a new thing called the Areopress
Image
Which it is made for coffee but I bet it would be wonderful for loose leaf teas and could work well for something like Matcha and maybe even the expresso coffee I got as a gift from my boyfriends sister(but I can't really afford to get an expresso machine for one jar of expresso) but I think with the areopress I could use that coffee and you can buy it for around 30 dollars which is much cheaper than an espresso machine.

You could get something like one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Original-Bialett ... 0000CF3Q6/

Though they recommend you get one in stainless steel, as aluminum is supposed to interact with the chemicals in coffee. I've thought about it, but I don't drink coffee at home very often, and I'm trying to cut down on milk...I only really drink my espressos mixed into a glass of milk, I'm not a huge fan of tiny drinks =)

This snobbish lady was teaching about tea drinking etiquette and became a national mockery.

I bought some of that Celestial Seasonings green tea with matcha...it is not for me :( Tastes like it took everything I dislike about green tea, and magnified it.

I live by their factory but I drink loose leaf all the time. I have 3 pounds of Oolong at home (bulk cheap stuff) but I tend towards the fancier Oolong, Lapsang & Caravan which I just learned about.

Green if I'm sick though, gunpowder, genmaicha or hoji Cha. I also have tons of fancy black tea that showed up with the other stuff.
