For sure ... been looking forward to it all week! I was watching the Macy's Parade yesterday with the family and thought it was pretty cool that there was a Red Wings - Bruins float promoting today's game. They even got Bruins President and Hall-of-Famer Cam Neely to ride on the float.

And yes, Ace of Spades, Tim Thomas does defy physics. His moustache, however, defies logic. The Sharks seem to be having some sort of a bad moustache contest where a bunch of them are sporting the Thomas handlebar. It's pretty absurd.

It couldn't have been any worse than Sidney Crosby's mustache. Seriously he needs to shave it off, and never grow it back.
Thank God Movember is done with. I'd rather get prostate cancer than have a mustache growing like a cancer.

Extremely excited for the Kings game tonight. Quick has been a beast in goal. D has been solid enough, just need our offense to step up a bit more. I wish I could go watch the Kings play but sadly live in the UK  I shall be the happiest person alive once I get my first Kings jersey though :D GKG!!

I've a question... what is your favorite rivalry?

For me, a good one Stars vs. Red Wings, or vs. Oilers.

Bruins - Flyers is my favorite these days.

Did I mention I'm seeing them play each other at the TD Garden on St. Pattys Day? :D

You didn't before, but that is pretty cool. I'm been trying to go to a game, but we will see what happens.

Make it a priority and I'm sure you can make it happen. Sell all of your possessions, give up critical information on friends or family members, do things that are illegal. Whatever it takes ... a live NHL game is a great experience!! :D

I was wondering what people think of the realignment scheduled for next season.
4 conferences is intriguing and I am excited to see the Leafs every year so that part looks good.

The part I like the most is that every team is going to play every team twice each season. About damn time. It'll be exciting to get to see the Sharks in the East more frequently. As for the Conferences themselves, the Bruins new Conference really isn't that different from their current Division. The most annoying part is that I'm going to have to get a new magnetic hockey standings board for my stepson. Hard to believe that one team moving wound up having such a big impact on the league.

Conference Reallignment

I like it, because the confrences will be based on geography. Which means more games will be shown on more reasonable times slots.

So, exactly where would everyone wind up with the realignment?

Also, best rivalry IMHO is Flyers-Penns for hockey; Flyers-Devils for fans.

From the article I linked above:

"The full conference alignment:

Conference 1: Devils, Flyers, Penguins, Rangers, Islanders, Capitals, Hurricanes

Conference 2: Bruins, Canadiens, Maple Leafs, Senators, Sabres, Panthers, Lightning

Conference 3: Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Predators, Blues, Blackhawks, Wild, Stars, Jets

Conference 4: Kings, Ducks, Coyotes, Sharks, Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Avalanche"

Congrats to the Winnipeg Jets on bringing the Bruins 15-game points streak to an end. Nice to see hockey back in a city that deserves it. :)

Speaking of Winnipeg, did anyone find it odd that when the season began. There was very little talk about them, I mean here is a new NHL franchise over here! Or is it just me? :?:
