So, exactly where would everyone wind up with the realignment?

Also, best rivalry IMHO is Flyers-Penns for hockey; Flyers-Devils for fans.

From the article I linked above:

"The full conference alignment:

Conference 1: Devils, Flyers, Penguins, Rangers, Islanders, Capitals, Hurricanes

Conference 2: Bruins, Canadiens, Maple Leafs, Senators, Sabres, Panthers, Lightning

Conference 3: Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Predators, Blues, Blackhawks, Wild, Stars, Jets

Conference 4: Kings, Ducks, Coyotes, Sharks, Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Avalanche"

"'From the article I linked above:'"
I didn't know that was a link... I guess you learn something new every day. :)

No worries. I rarely make it through a day without donning a dunce cap. :D The links really should be a different color than the regular text anyway.

Conference names? I was thinking the Scoobie Doobies, Really Rottens and Yogi Yahooeys might be kinda fun. Still working on a name for the fourth Conference ... 8)

I don't know, wouldn't it be a little weird having the confrences named after active players?

In all seriousness, some have suggested naming the conferences after NHL greats ... an idea that I kind of like. One suggestion I saw was to name the conferences Gretzky, Hull, Orr and Lemieux.

As for the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young suggestion ...

Dallas dropped another game to San Jose, our record is 15-11 which places us third in our division. :x Too many injuries on our roster * Lehtonin * helps us in tight games. Another note, I just found out on DallasStars.com that upper level mezzaine seats are now 9 dollars! 8O Along with other seat prices have been lowered as well.

Get to a game if you can. Nothing is as fun as being at an NHL game.

So now that we're close to 30 games into the season, I think it's not a bad time to analyze who came out the winner in the big off-season trade between the Wild and the Sharks. As a Sharks fan, I really like the addition of Brent Burns. He's been huge so far and is not only one of the Sharks best defensemen, but has contributed on offense as well with 4 goals and 5 assists (including the game-winner at the Islanders game I went to :) ). Havlat, however, is crap. 1 goal and 11 assists so far.

Minnesota, on the other hand, is tearing up the NHL. Setoguchi and Heatley both have 8 goals for the Wild to go along with 5 assists for Setoguchi and 11 for Heatley.

So far, the Wild have come out way on top in the trade. :(

I love what Dallas has done in the off-season. Getting not superstars, but quality players. Souray, Ryder, Dvorak etc... They have been fun to watch;however, it has not been as fun watching the Stars without Lethonin as the Goalie. His play alone helped us win alot of our games. don't get me wrong Raycroft is okay, but he looks so lost out there in the crease. For example, the game against San Jose Raycroft allowed two goals in the first minute of regulation. One goal is acceptable to a degree, but when you're down by two. It makes coming back that much more difficult.

@neerdowell: I'm working on it.

I went to last nights game which the Wild beat the Coyotes 4-1. The one thing that made it redeemable was that it was dollar drink night. Best deal in sports. 15.00 tickets 4 beers for 4.00.

Even though I don't drink, that's a really good deal.
I didn't get to watch the entire game last night because it started at 9:30 P.M. I did however get to see the final score today, and I'm so happy it was a win. :) It helped us in the standings too, with a lot of our division losing their games.

Man, $9 tickets for the Stars, $15 tickets for the Coyotes. 8O You guys have it nice in the Southwest. I can't even go to an AHL game in my parts for that little. You can't get in the TD Garden to see the Bruins for under $100.

Anyway, nice to see Boston break their two-game skid and put up a win against Columbus last night. :)

Keep in mind, that the nine dollar seats are the " Nose-bleed " sections of AAC. I don't know where the fifteen dollar seats are for the Coyotes, but I do know what price it is for the Stars. It's nice to see the Stars win against Los Angeles * back leading the divison, see what I mean by competitve? 8) *, but I still can't believe that Minnesota leads the entire NHL! 8O Where did that come from?
