Sorry for the double post, but I did go to the game. It was a lot of fun, and I really had the time of my life. The only problem was Dallas lost 4:1.

That's awesome, Brainfre3ze_93. So glad you had a good time at the game!! Sorry the Stars lost but it sounds like the experience was well worth it.

It was worth it, but it would have been a lot better if the Stars won. Their offense is what hurt them the most, they had several powerplays, and couldn't get even one. Sometimes I think they play too much defense, and don't take advantage on powerplays.

@ neerdowell: Yes, I'm excited for this game. :)

This alumni game is Sick! First Flyers goal, started by body check by Recchi, off to Lindros, LeClair..GOAL!! !
Second goal Podein.
LiForest looks awesome. Parent had a sliding save.
What an awesome lineup of players on both sides!
Who needs an all-star game???
This is so much more fun. :D

**Clarke looks so funny, on the ice, smiling with a full set of (obviously fake) teeth. **

I know the feeling. Since my stepson took an interest in hockey sometime around 2003, we've seen our teams lose almost as frequently as we've seen them win. IIRC, the Bruins are 4-3 in games we've been to and the Sharks are 3-2. It's always a different feeling when your team wins than when they lose. But I've learned not to attach my feelings to the outcome of a sports event I can't control. Had an absolute blast the last time I saw the Bruins in October ... and they lost 1-0. Didn't score a goal. Not much you can do about it as a spectactor. The beer tasted good and the company was great.

Hope it's your first of MANY experiences at live NHL games. Cheers.

I'm not that emotionally attached to the Stars winning or losing, but I do care when they win. I'm upset when they lose games they could've won. I just looked up the scores, and Dallas won against Boston? 8O How do you lose to Columbus, but win against Boston?

Well, the Winter Classic is tomorrow (January 2). I just heard the game has been moved back from 1 PM to 3 PM due to weather considerations. Actually a better time for me. We have a bunch of hockey fans on my street and we're all going to watch the game at one of the other guy's houses (a Rangers fan) and smother ourselves with wings and beer. :)

Sounds like fun, I wish I had a street filled with hockey fans. I would have a lot in common, but I don't so I watch the Winter Classic... alone.

Sweet. :) * tries to pull spirit to New York *

So let me get this straight, you're a Boston fan living in a neighborhood. With a Rangers, and a Avs fan?

You're good. The Avs fan lives next door. The Rangers fan lives in the next house down. Also have a Rangers fan on the other side of me but we don't really talk much. 8)

I used to live in Canada and now I live in Phoenix so I went from watching hockey with people to watching it alone. I usually watch games alone and text message about the game with one of my work colleagues about the game as he is a transplanted Canadian.
