The final week of the regular season before the weeks that actually matter...THE PLAYOFFS! For the teams that didn't make it into the postseason (including my team the Seahawks) there's always next year, but for teams vying for playoff position, it's your chance to make it happen!

These are my predictions for the second round of Playoffs.

Since I'm a medicore 3-5 for the playoffs, let's see if I can make a even .500 by the 44th Super Bowl:

SUNDAY JANUARY 23RD:

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

NEW YORK JETS @ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Jets over Colts (just like 1968, all over again)

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

MINNESOTA VIKINGS @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Saints over Vikings (Who dey think they're gonna beat the Saints!)

DIVISONAL RECORD: 3-1
PLAYOFF RECORD: 3-5
OVERALL RECORD: 162-95

Colts will win Jets (Colts' former coach is from Michigan) and Vikings win Saints (Colts' former coach graduated from the University of Minnesota).

I lost my previous predictions --- all of them.

The moment of truth, the ultimate game for the ultimate prize, two teams that are battling to seprerate the men from the boys. The 44th Super Bowl will be at stake in Miami, FL.

Let's get on with the pick:

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7TH

SUPER BOWL XLIV: SUN LIFE STADIUM IN MIAMI, FLORIDA

NEW ORELEANS SAINTS (NFC CHAMPIONS) VS. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (AFC CHAMPIONS)

Drum roll please.......

Colts over Saints 31-28 in OT (making this Super Bowl the first OT in the game's history)

SB XLIV MVP: Peyton Manning (Indianapolis, QB)


CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORD: 1-1
PLAYOFF RECORD: 4-6
OVERALL RECORD: 163-96

Saints over Colts, leading by about a touchdown.

Saints won by 2 touchdowns. I win, because Saints did better than expected. (Wow!)

And this marks the end of a great exciting season.
