I would very much disagree with the stance that Jujitsu isn't flowing. 'Natural' is quite subjective to the viewer, so I'll leave that aside. But from my experience (2 years Muay Thai, 2 years Jujitsu) Jujitsu is very much a fluid martial art.

You didn't read what I said.

Fair point, I was confused by the 'thought', but on rereading that's a typo. However, having been taught briefly under a police defence instructor/Jujitsu black belt, I didn't get the impression that the techniques he utilized were especially static. It seemed to me that, at least in the UK context, the Jujitsu techniques taught to the police are as fluid as any others. Armlocks, wristlocks, disarmaments, throws, etc, all performed from an attack or independently. I don't think they rely on the Jujitsu context to keep that flowing nature.

The part of Jujitsu that I would consider static (and outdated) would be the striking kata. I'm not sure how many organisations outside of the Jitsu Foundation use that, but it's something I do find frustrating.

On Krav Maga, I'd say that it's something that sounds great in theory, but finding a tutor who doesn't charge a small fortune and actually knows their stuff is another matter entirely. I've heard a lot of negative things, but I don't have any first-hand experience to back them up.
