Brain-Chocolate Study Suggests Opium-Like Chemical Triggers M&M Cravings
-------------------

When scientists dosed the rats with a big jolt of enkephalin in a brain region called the neostriatum, the rats became eating machines, downing the equivalent of a 150-pound (68 kilogram) person eating 7 to 8 pounds (3.1 to 3.5 kg) of M&Ms in an hour, said study researcher Alexandra DiFeliceantonio.

"This drug injection causes them to eat just obscene amounts of food," DiFeliceantonio, a graduate student in biopsychology at the University of Michigan, told LiveScience.

I love me some dark chocolate. And I'm not talking necessarily oversweetened "dark" chocolate". It has to have a discernible snap to it.

Wondering if the tofu frosting could be made with different flavors. Trying to think of a way to keep the consistency.

If I eat two pieces of chocolate I gain 10 pounds.

I sometimes add a pinch or two of cocoa to the ground coffee when I am making a pot of coffee. It gives the coffee a nice mocha taste.

I was so pleased when they began reporting that things like cocoa and tea have health benefits. :)
