Do any of you in the uk still feel the rest of the world portrays you as the hooligans when it comes to the spectators? I read in the papers of the incidents during the WC France '98. I would like to imagine if the country qualified for US '94. Then there is the Heysel disaster in Belgium 20 years ago. You still remember that?

The rest of the world has their fair share of crazy fans and extremely passionate groups of spectators. Then their are the Ultras who may and can get very serious. Aren't Italian fans notorious with the whole Ultra specification? Especially in Rome.

I mean why do fans want to use a football club to express their political and social beliefs? I can understand regional beliefs. But politics?

I can see a team being located in a more afflluent district, or were founded in one; such as in Buenos Aires, when both Boca Jrs. and River Plate were founded in the La Boca district, which is a poor and working class district. But River ended up moving to a more upscale district and voila! a social class derby.

Some I see do it just for attention and reaction, which is a no-brainer.

Well it looks like the big countries have started their young seasons.

It looks like i get a large amount of games worldwide on TV. Fox Soccer for the English league as well as the Ligue 1, Die Bundesliga, and Argentina. And of course Major League Soccer in the States.

I don't know where I can find Spanish league games except for Gol TV , but I would have to get the Spanish language digital package. i know Telemundo shows some games from La Liga.

I usally prefer Fox sports en español which focuses more on Argentina, Brazil and South American cups. But do show a lot of Europe games.

Then their is Univisión, Galavisión, and Telefutura (they work together) along with Azteca America for the Mexican games. I actually watched a few matches on the OnDemand system's Spanish language programming and GolTV for 15 minute highlights.

So there is plenty available here in the States.
