Only one point difference between first and fourth place in the Pacific. Now, that's what I call a close race. 8O

Yeah I know this happens to me every year. It's really nothing new to me. :hockey:
Anyways, I glad Dallas got the win against Calgary, but we do have a tough road test coming up with Vancouver, and then San Jose back to back. Speaking of playoffs, has anyone started growing their playoff beards or plan to?

On topic - I would love to grow a playoff beard one of these years.

Off topic - Both my wife and employer frown upon facial hair so I don't necessarily see it happening anytime soon. I am, however, spending a month out west by myself this summer and may just have to grow a beard long enough to make Grizzly Adams jealous. :D

Six minutes to go in Anaheim and Marty Turco is on the brink of his first win as a Bruin. Brian Rolston also contimues to come up big in the black and gold. Just buried his third goal to go along with 8 assists since rejoining Boston. Nice road trip out west as the B's are putting some distance between themselves and Ottawa for first in the Northeast. If the current 3-1 lead stands up, they'll be up 5 points with a game in hand. :D :hockey: :D :hockey:

With five games remaining Dallas is in the lead, but will it last?

The Bruins magic number for a playoff berth stands at 1 point with 5 games to go. Also looking pretty secure for the Division title with a 6 point lead on Ottawa.

And the Sharks have gone from Division leader to out of the playoffs with consecutive losses. Coming down to the wire ... better get it together now, boys.

Bruins 6, Islanders 3

Boston is officially in the playoffs and only needs one win in its last four games to clinch the Northeast Division title. Looking more and more like the number 2 seed in the East. :hockey: :D :hockey: :D :hockey:

Once again, Dallas drop another game to San Jose. Now we're in ninth place in our conference. We really need to stop this losing skid right away, if we want any chance to make the playoffs.
@catamount: Nice video. 8)

Also, welcome to the thread mattham93! :hockey:

Was at last nights Coyotes game as it was fan appreciation night and it may be the last regular season game in Phoenix. I hope they get the ownership issues figured out but at least they had a big win and are in seventh place.

Well, the season is winding down, and playoffs are right around the corner. I'm excited and sad for it. Why? playoffs are here, but that also means summer draws near. :?

Also, tonight's game means everything if we lose to San Jose. The season is over, because after San Jose we play Nashville, and St. Louis. Which I have no confidence in the Stars winning.

Mike Smith had his 3rd shutout in a row last night. He only had to stop 54 shots to get it last night. I am beginning to get excited about the possibility of the playoffs but they still haven't clinched so I don't want to get over confident.
