Alright, the Bruins have the Caps right where they want them ... Game 7, where Boston is at its best. Remember, it was a hard fought 7-game series against the Canadiens in Round 1 last year that spurred the Bruins run to the Cup. 8)

And congrats to the Philadelphia Flyers!! Image

So what did everyone think of the 25-game suspension for Raffi Torres for his hit on Marian Hossa? I'm no fan of Torres, but I thought the penalty was more of a result of who he is and who he took out than it was based on the hit itself. If some second line defenseman takes out a no-name third line forward with that exact hit, he gets a two-game suspension at most. The league is definitely sending a message to "enforcers" that the "stars" are off-limits.

I figured Torres was going to get 10 games. 25 games seemed excessive but he has a pile of suspensions so I am sure that was the biggest contributor. I just hope the Coyotes close out the series tonight.

What a great game last night. Mike Smith was incredible in nets and led the Coyotes to the next round. I can't wait to watch the Coyotes play the Predators. It should be a good matchup.

Oh noes. The Bruins season is over. A tip of the hat to the Capitals on a well-earned series win.

For the Sharks, there is always next year ... and for the B's, there will always be LAST year. 8)

Well fought series. :eye:
But, Buh Bye Bruins. 8) :salut:
Strange playoffs. Top seeds almost all gone. Let's see what happens with NY.

I agree, it has been one of the strangest playoffs that I have seen.

I am amazed the Coyotes won last night. They were outplayed but I will take the victory. I just hope they improve by game 2. Mike Smith can't win every game for them.

Dammit Preds, I've wanted you to win the cup but you're losing to Phoenix again. At least the Coyotes are my third choice to win.

I know, the Coyotes have been surprising to me as well. Also welcome to the thread. 8)

Thanks for welcoming me. :) I thought the Coyotes would finish near the bottom of the league this year after replacing Bryzgalov with Mike Smith. But apparently Smith is one of the best goalies in the league. I'd like seeing a struggling, small market team like them win the cup though. Hopefully these playoffs will help the franchise.

What the heck is going on with the LA Kings? Slayed Vancouver in 5 games and is now up 2-0 on the Blues. 8O
