I drink it on the rare occasion and usually black. In general I don't really drink hot drinks full stop.

I do, but I try to limit my intake to a cup or two a day.

I didn't drink any at all for over a year - only a bit of decaf once in a while. But I've since healed my digestive tract to the point that I can tolerate drinking some of it again.

I used to drink a lot of it.. 4-5 pots a day a lot at my peak back when I was ~19 years old attending business school. In hindsight, the amount of caffeine and acids I ingested was not healthy at all and definitely contributed to negative mental health effects at the time.

I drank coffee or black tea every morning for two years. I have successfully quit all caffeine a week ago. Hopefully I'll never go back… I feel more in-tune with my body now and am not missing the jitters.

I don't drink coffee at all. I might have a cup of tea once a year, should it be given to me when I'm sick.

I have to have a hot beverage every morning before I go to class- whether that is coffee (with a little cream and a moderate amount of sugar) or some type of tea. Most recently I have been going for Chai Tea or Green Matcha Tea (don't ask me to explain what that is :?:
It's just something about the warmth of a warm drink that is so soothing- that it's become part of my routine. In other parts of my life, I regularly drink sweet tea and am working on creating the perfect home made chai tea recipe.

In the morning, I drink hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice from half a lemon. It perks me right up and has really helped me wean myself off the caffeine. From what I know, though, it has to be only freshly squeezed lemons (I squeeze the lemon right before putting the lemon juice in the water), or otherwise it won't work.

I usually do drink fair trade coffee when I can....or at least organic and or from family owned companies. Sure as hell tastes better than folgers and those other mainstream brands as well so that alone makes it worth it. I like my coffee black so a good flavor is important since I don't add cream or sugar or anything that would cover it up.

Coda Coffee's beans are great. My favorite shop blends their batches as well as roasting single origin espresso. Goldfish is right, drip coffee is dangerously acidic and actually packs a different isomer of the caffeine molecule.
Case in point:

What about French press, or even unfiltered coffee?

I try to limit myself, but yes. One or two cups in the morning if I feel like it, either brewed at home or picked up at a nice little coffee shop. I take my coffee with a bit of cream but like the super-sweet stuff like peppermint mochas as a treat once in awhile.

Exactly. Even in the summer when iced coffee is popular I prefer mine hot.

I cannot drink coffee( atleast not during the school week) for two reasons. One, it worsens my "stimming". The second reason is it makes me even more jittery than I am already.

No.

I tried some once and I thought it was disgusting. It might have been black, but it was enough to turn me off from coffee. I don't understand why people treat it as a substance that is a gift from God. I'm the kind of person where once I'm up, I'm up; and I can function just fine in the morning without coffee.

Drinking a cup of coffee would help to make you less stressed. This will make you feel happier.

I didn't know this topic would cause such a debate. :P
