Men seem to want to be taller than they are, tall women might more often claim to be shorter. Probably due to idealistic gender stereotype conformity.

From now on I'm going to tell people I'm 8 feet tall. :nerdy:

I don't get why being tall is viewed as a good thing since bigger men tend to die younger.

But hey I guess quality of life over quantity.

Why would someone who is 6’3 want to be taller outside of something like basketball?

You can be any height and want to be taller.

People can also want to be shorter. I seriously doubt most people want to be taller unless they are on the shorter side.

I'd love to be shorter.

Well the guy I know who claimed 6ft5 said he was “6ft4 1/2” on one occasion.

Weird a 6ft4 1/2 man rounding up to 6ft5.

What would you classify as being on the shorter side? Some celebrities who are 6ft1 round up 1 inch and claim to 6ft2.

^ It’s below whatever the national average is in your country. It’s still a ridiculous thing to lie about. People I know don’t go around talking about their height.

I can’t. It would be even more obvious and could set them up for ridicule.

Maybe he *thinks* society will view him better as a 6' 5 man I dont know. Maybe its a competitive thing or insecurity, he wants to be perceived as taller than he is or as being exceptional or authoritative in some way.

It is also conventional to round up a .5

I've never understood the obsession with height, I'm quite tall that's just how nature made me.
I noticed in the dating world it seems to be a big deal where a woman doesn't want a bloke shorter than her.
Anyone who meets me in real life can see how tall I am, unless I wear platform shoes or saw 6 inches off the bottom of my legs that's my height, nothing to lie about.
