I couldn't stand to be around Philly fans in general. Take a look at any sport in Philadelphia, and their fans are usually the worst in behaviour. * 2nd is Oakland Raiders *
Please don't lump all Philly fans together. I'm a Flyers NUT, but HATE to go to the arena unless I can swing seats on the glass. If you can ignore the language from the upper levels, Glass seats are awesome. One game I went to, some fans were there from the opposing team wearing their jerseys. The flyers fans were telling them the best, and safest, places to go after the game. Also where not to wear their jerseys to avoid the knuckleheaded fanatics.[/quote]
I can now tell you, there are some great Flyers fans. I had a wonderful time in Philly, and the crowd was a lot of fun. Most people I ran into really knew their hockey, and were actually welcoming when they learned that I came from SoCal just to watch my team play.
The worst I got were a few boos here and there, but it wasn't any worse than any other building I've been in.
The couple right in front of us said we had to try the cheese fries while we were there.
When we said we were too full of cheese steaks to go eat anything else... the lady said that was unacceptable, she went out and bought some cheese fries with seasoning salt all over em, and forced us to share. She was right, some of the best fries I've ever had.
I'll definitely go back to another game in Philly.
