About an hour and a half of walking/hiking on an old abandoned golf course.

Gonna try to remember to keep posting. Feel a (tiny) bit better about my slacking off as I did an hour total rowing today. It wasn't planned but I got to about 38 minutes and thought "I've got quite a bit left in me". Can really tell the difference in my fitness between just 6 weeks ago and now, I probably would have literally collapsed if I tried to go for an hour a month ago. Got awful blisters on my hands this time :/ MUST MUST MUST get gloves.

No ice today, MLK Day, public skate was full to capacity.

So to not waste my trip, I messed around in the gym. Did some muscle snatches, tried split snatch balances out, and I think I like that exercise for skating. It's also in general fun. Maybe tonight try that more, split snatch balances. Think it's better than a slow lunge.

Today I walked 30 minutes and jogged 15 minutes outside, as well as streched my legs at the end of the work out.

This past Sunday I did walking aerobics to a DVD I have and then at the end did some sit ups and girly push ups (not full push ups), as well as stretching.

My goal is exericse every other day or at least 3 times per week. Usually on Friday I relax and take the day off from exercise. On the weekends I may go hiking with a group or jog outside or do an aerobics DVD. Exericse is my way of dealing with stress and is often the only thing that helps me stay sane in an insane world. 8)

Today I did 20 minutes of walking aerobics with small hand weights and then about 25 minutes of meditation. I like do to yoga or meditation and does help me relax which is great as sometimes my work and/or commute is stressful. Well my life in general can be stressful.

Let's see, I've not logged in a long time.

I've started doing more push presses again. My routine has been as follows. Start at like 95lbs, do a triple, add 5lbs per set. First day, get to a max triple. After the max triple, take off 5lbs and do 3x3 with that weight. Next day, do the same, but you're hoping for a new max set with 5lbs more than last time's max set. If you accomplish doing a max set of triples, stop, do 3x3 with 5lbs less on the bar. So in my case, today I worked to 130, so I did 3x3 of 125. Monday I'll work to 135, do 3x3 of 130, etc. This seems a more natural training to me, because I hate higher reps, my old training problem was I'd try to max out, and it'd basically be the equivalent of biting off more than I could chew.

My friend came today to the gym. Fun working out with a friend. I worked up to my old max front squat of 185, but did it for 2. So, happy about that.

Also, no skating today, but skating's been going lots better. I've gotten very much better at my LFI 3 turns, and now am working on my inside back 3 turns. I still have my right forward crossovers for a weakness, but my left back crossovers are a good deal better. I lost a tad bit of weight, so that might be helping skating, but I think the stretching has more. That and the combo of nice full depth Olympic squats and upper body/ab work has helped things along nicely.

after trying for a full month, i finally hit a bench pr of 290x2 last set. My bench pressing future was looking bright, and i was all set to try 295x2 first set. Then i got a cold(got it on Sunday) and now i can't even bench 295x1. Hopefully it was just a bad day, and my bench has not decreased.
