If you went onto the woods here and sat down like that you would have ticks and chiggers.Sigh.No hiking till fall unless it’s a clear trail with no brush or grass.Dry creek beds are best now.Sometimes you can find a fossil and there isn’t any ticks.
Seed ticks will be out any day.No thanks.You have to remove them with duct tape, there could be hundreds.

Nice boots.

I just had to bite the bullet and order a new pair , I wait till they are falling off my feet before I splurge on new walking shoes (this will be the fifth pair I've had of these, they are awesome)

There's a path I walk late at night with my dog, with a tall old fashioned lamp post at the end.
Somehow I think of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe every. single. time.
It's so pretty when it's snowing at night.

I wish there was woods near me were I can walk through but were I am it is all desert and not everyone's dogs stay in their yards and a lot of them are aggressive against other people.
